From the sickness-ridden air, from the fear and dementia of enforced solitude, the raw and twisted music of They Came From Visions was born. Crafted by three nameless apparitions, "Cloak Of Darkness, Dagger Of Night" conjures the visions of shimmering mist over the ancient swamps; of moonlight painting the earth in surreal colours; of unsettling hum and chitter of nocturnal insects; of countless dangers and wonders of a world shrouded in darkness.
Inspired by the likes of Yellow Eyes and Wiegedood as well as the folk horror movies of the '70s, the idea behind They Came From Vision's debut was to create raw and minimalist black metal while incorporating tempo and time signature changes and overall variety into the formula.
The album is out on October 16th, 2020 via Bloodred Distribution on cassettes (limited to 66 copies) and digitally via band's Bandcamp page.

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal
