The second full-length by N[]O is a 43-minute long journey through bleak and desolate soundscapes. Aiming to craft a sonically diverse yet consistently oppressive and crushing experience, the musicians added to their foundation of black and post-metal a variety of tropes from progressive, doom and even groove metal. The lyrics of the album’s 6 songs dig ever deeper into the feelings of disappointment, despair, and self-loathing.

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.
